Tickets to the memorial of Horatio Herbert Kitchener

Born in Kerry, Ireland in 1850, Kitchener dedicated his life to military service. Considered a war hero for his involvement in the Second Boer War, Lord Kitchener was appointed Secretary of State for War in 1914. He became an iconic symbol of enlistment and featured on British Army recruitment posters. He was killed in 1916 when his ship struck a German mine. A memorial service was held in Saint Patricks Cathedral following his death.
