I’m very lucky to get to go to Saint Patrick’s Cathedral Choir School.

Well we’re currently enrolling for the Third Class in the Cathedral Choir School for this September. It’s a wonderfully unique school. We’re 600 years old in ten years’ time or thereabouts. The opportunities in the School are unlike any other in the country.

One of the best things about the School is that I was able to do lots of things that other people in other schools wouldn’t be able to do.

It’s lots of fun here, the choir especially. You just do so much and you can go to some places as well.

A lot of what we do centres around music, but not completely. We follow your usual academic curriculum, but there’s a great emphasis on music, in particular singing.

Making friends here is very easy because it’s a very small community, everyone is really nice to you.

I have loads of friends. I think everyone here is my friend.

They sing in the Cathedral every day for services. We also do concerts, not only in this country, but across the world. We do broadcasts, you’ll hear us very regularly on the radio and the TV.

And you also get to meet special people, like the President or Kings and Queens of different countries.

Advice I’d have for anyone thinking of joining the Choir School is don’t worry about trying to fit in because everyone’s really friendly and there’s no bullies.

One of the many great things about the Cathedral Choir and the School is that it’s very inclusive. So we’ll have children from religious backgrounds, not just Christian backgrounds, from other religions as well, and we’ll also have children from no religious background whatsoever. All are very welcome here.

Before I started this school, I didn’t do anything kind of musically. After I joined, I got a lot better at singing and I started playing the piano and now I do that every day as one of my hobbies now.

Just don’t worry because everyone is very nice and especially the teachers, they’re very nice too.
